Terms of use

Last updated September 23, 2026

These terms govern your use of Sentinelle, an app operated by Sentinelle LLC. By creating a profile or using Sentinelle, you agree to these terms.

What Sentinelle is — and isn't

Sentinelle helps you notify your chosen emergency contacts when you trigger an SOS, and can escalate to a monitoring service or emergency responders if no contact confirms in time. Sentinelle is not a substitute for calling 911 or 988 yourself when you are able to, is not a licensed medical device, and does not guarantee that a contact, monitoring service, or emergency responder will respond in time or at all. Location accuracy, network connectivity, and device settings can all affect whether an alert is delivered.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep your profile, emergency contacts, and medical information accurate and up to date.
  • Only add emergency contacts who have agreed to receive alerts on your behalf.
  • Understand that Sentinelle's timers and escalation steps depend on your device staying on, connected, and within battery life.

SMS Terms

By providing your phone number and opting in, you agree to receive text messages from Sentinelle related to:

  • SOS alerts, confirmations, and all-clear notices sent to you or, if you are an emergency contact, on behalf of someone who added you
  • Invitations to become someone's emergency contact, and consent (opt-in) confirmations
  • Message frequency: varies, and depends on how often an SOS is triggered. A typical contact will receive no messages unless an alert occurs.
  • Message and data rates may apply with Sentinelle.
  • Opt-out: reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages.
  • Help: reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at hello@sentinellealert.com.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sentinelle LLC is not liable for any harm resulting from a delayed, undelivered, or unanswered alert, or from reliance on the app in place of directly contacting emergency services.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Sentinelle develops. We will update the "last updated" date above when we do.
